Everything you need to plan a ride or run, fill it, and get people there

Most of it works for any event. Cohosts, the message board and repeats are for events a club hosts.

  • Finding events

Two feeds, set to where you ride and run.

    • Discover shows public events around you, or anywhere you set your search area.
    • Following shows events from the clubs you follow.
    • Filter by activity: rides, gravel rides, mountain bike rides, runs and trail runs. Virtual rides are on the drawing board.
  • Joining and the waitlist

A full event fills itself from the waitlist.

    • Any event can have a participant limit.
    • Once it’s full, people join the waitlist and keep their place in line.
    • When a spot opens, the next person in line gets it automatically and is notified.
    • Lowering the limit never removes anyone who’s already going.
  • Getting there

From joining to finding the group on the day.

    • A reminder goes out 24 to 2 hours before the start, to everyone who joined at least a day earlier.
    • In the app, add the event to your calendar or open the start in your maps app.
    • While an event you’ve joined is under way, a bar in the app takes you back to it, so you can find the route if you fall behind.
  • Clubs

A club gives your events a name people can follow.

    • People follow clubs and see their events in Following.
    • A club is run by up to ten staff.
    • Admins edit the club, manage the staff and create events. Organizers create events.
  • Hosting together

Run an event with other hosts.

    • An event a club hosts can have up to two cohosts, for three hosts in all.
    • Cohosts can post on the message board and answer questions, but can’t edit the event.
    • Staff can join their club’s event in the same step as publishing it.
  • Repeats and copies

Set an event up once, and reuse it.

    • A club can repeat an event weekly or monthly, for up to six months.
    • Each repeat reuses the original image, or one from the club’s past events of the same activity.
    • Copy any of your own events into a new form and change what you like.
  • Event details

Tell people what to expect before they join.

    • Attributes: coffee stop, food stop, no-drop, women-only, intervals or race. Rides can also be a drop ride.
    • Add a route link from Strava or wherever you plan the route.
  • Visibility and cancelling

Decide who can find an event, and change your mind.

    • Public events show in feeds. Unlisted events don’t, so only people with the link can find them.
    • A cancelled event stays visible, marked as cancelled, and you can restore it.
  • Message board

Questions and news stay with the event, not in a group chat.

    • Events a club hosts have a message board.
    • Staff of the hosting clubs post announcements, and anyone can ask a question.
    • A question stays between the asker and the hosts until it’s answered, then both are public.
    • The board stays open until 24 hours after the event.
  • Notifications

You hear when your plans change, and choose the rest.

    • If you’ve joined, you hear when the start time or place changes, or the event is cancelled.
    • Hosts choose whether an announcement notifies everyone who joined.
    • You hear when your question is answered.
    • Choose per club whether to hear about new events, and turn any kind of notification on or off.
  • Sharing

Every event is ready to post.

    • Share straight to an Instagram story, with the link on your clipboard.
    • Or copy the link, or use your phone’s share sheet.
    • Links show a preview image, and open in the app for anyone who has it.
  • Images

Frame every photo the way you want it.

    • Crop any image in the app: profile pictures, club avatars and covers, and event images.
    • Event images show at 3:2, and at 9:16 in an Instagram story, so pick a photo that works both ways.
